WEBSITE POLICY Although this unofficial website (part of a large privately run website to do with the history of the people of Tasmania) is the work of a group of volunteers from the congregation, it is not — and does not claim to be ― the official website of St Stephen's Anglican Church in Wynyard. In the absence of an official website for St Stephen's, this website will, we hope, act as a reservoir of creative ideas. The owner is prepared to finance, build and maintain an official site for the Parish, but must have full editorial control of content, style, etc. Our website defines itself as 'Anglican'. Since we are all active members of the congregation of an Anglican Church in Tasmania, we have made every attempt to comply in full with Diocesan guidelines. They can be seen here: http://www.anglicantas.org.au/policies-website-for-organisation/ We guarantee from our hearts that we will always do our very best to comply to the letter with these Diocesan guidelines regarding the content of websites that purport to be Anglican. If you think this website contains errors or contravenes the guidelines, by all means feel free to complain via the message board/forum. See home page for the link. The purpose of this website is to make available to the public basic information about the Church, the Parish and the activities of church workers. It is also part of our purpose to stimulate an interest in collaborative ministry and in pooling our creative energies and talents in pursuit of our Christian Mission in the Parish. In considering what should be on this website, we have taken note of Bishop John Harrower's vision as expressed in his transformingLIFE guide, and in his many thoughtful papers and addresses published on the Diocesan website. The guide can be seen here, along with links to other key policy papers. |
