Foundation stone laid 1919. Work finished in 1921.

The brickwork is notable for the three different styles of bond: English and Stretcher, and perhaps Flemish, seemingly at the whim of the bricklayer.

The builder was a local man (see Sue Jacobson's history pages).

Window frames and lintels all in concrete.

The so-called nartex, ie porch or foyer, was added sometime in the 1980s, as was the church hall.

The 'memorial garden'. Note the change in brickwork behind the cross.

The font, cast in concrete.

View to the East window and main altar.

The roof is particularly fine.

Three windows on the north of the nave.

Arches reveal the Chapel on the south side. Step up to the chancel.

The pulpit and organ .

View back down the nave to the West window.

The main altar, with reredos.

Seats to left of the altar. Diocesan crest, north wall alongside the organ.

The east window. 'The Ascension', with St George to the left and St Michael to the right.

This window was dedicated to the fallen of the First World War, a memorial board being in the chapel.

South wall of the Chancel. 'Suffer Little Children'.

View from Chapel into the nave, looking north.

Seat in Chapel. Chapel dedicated to St Alban. His crest. Crest of St Stephen.

The south window in the Chapel, above the memorial board.

Detail of window. Faith, Hope, Charity.

Two windows above the Chapel altar. Virgin and Child.

Joseph.

View south into Chapel.

Altar tapestry, copy of Leonardo da Vinci's 'Last Supper'.
